I, Italy:
II9IARU joins the celebrations of the Union’s 90th anniversary
until the end of 2015. QSL via IW3RUA.
While it was decided in 1884 to place the Prime meridian at
Greenwich, Italians had proposed to locate it at Monte Mario, which
is still used today for national topographic maps. II0PMI gets on
the air from this location on September 6. QRV on 40 and 20m on CW
and SSB.
P4, Aruba:
Eddy, K5WQG, and Robert, N5ET, plan to work as P40ER and P40ET
between the 6th and 20th. QSL for both calls via N5ET.
PA, Netherlands:
PD70AW put the Den Haag Bunker Museum on the air on Sept. 6, with
the suffix pointing to the “Atlantic Wall”. QSL via PD2RKG (B).
SP, Poland:
SN1944W marks the Warszaw Uprising 71 years ago. The special event
is run by members of the club station SP5PWA. QRV until October 3.

VP5, Turks and Caicos Islands:
Adrian, KO8SCA, plans to work holiday-style from the 3rd to the 8th
as VP5/KO8SCA, running 100W and a spiderbeam on HF (SSB and CW).

Mike, AG6IP, had to cancel his K6W expedition to Wake Island (IOTA
OC-053) and hopes for a new opportunity next year.
Russian Arctic Coast Expedition 2015:
Vladimir, UA4WHX, is currently aboard the ice breaker MSV Mikhail
Somov on the arctic route of the Russian Arctic Coast Expedition
2015. Vlad will be active with the following calls: RI0POL RI1OV
(EU-035 and EU-119) RI1PV (EU-085) R11PVB. For up-to-date

ZA0I – Sazan Island (EU-169):
The expedition had to be cancelled due to logistical problems. The
team plans to give it another try in 2016.

Lou, N2TU, and Craig, K9CT, recently announced plans for a
DXpedition to Palmyra, which currently ranks #9 on the Most Wanted
list, and #2 among European DXers. The Pacific Islands DXpedition
Group plans to get on the air from January 11 to 26 from Cooper
Island. They have created a website and of course are grateful for
