Building a magnetic loop antenna and broadband amplifier for your SDR

In this guest post, Dave Gahimer, K9ZCE, describes how you can build a compact (dual) magnetic loop antenna to improve reception from your inexpensive SDR.

Dave’s homebrew antenna includes both a horizontally and vertically-polarized loop, allowing better mitigation of fading. It is also an excellent choice for those living in areas with heavy RFI or antenna restrictions.
