AMSAT is proud to announce the relaunch of its Ambassador Program, an opportunity for members to share what they’ve learned about amateur radio in space with others, and, in the process, help inspire the next generation of AMSAT’ers.
ARRL member-volunteers will be part of the excitement as the 2019 International Experimental Aircraft Association annual AirVenture show gets under way this week in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
Technical papers are solicited for presentation at the ARRL and TAPR Digital Communications Conference (DCC) and publication in the Conference Proceedings. Conference proceedings are published by the ARRL. Presentation at the conference (Detroit, Sept. 20-22) is not required for publication. Submission of papers are due by July 31, 2019.
As temperatures rise to 26 °C (79 °F), Martti Laine, OH2BH, reports that activity from some Arctic Circle islands begins this week. This includes OJ9A from Kataja/Inakari (EU-192) and OH9A from Lapland Islands (Selka-Sarvi — EU-126). The two islands, located in the Tornio River delta, will be active July 24 – 29, including during the Islands on the Air (IOTA) Contest.
